This Exhibition explores the unique culture of the Jeju Haenyeo which values coexistence with nature through an ecological diving system, the independence of professional women within the community, and the building of a community based on solicitude and order.

The exhibition will feature photos, artefacts including ‘mullot’ (diving suit) and ‘muljil’ tools from the Haenyeo Museum in South Korea. We will also be featuring a performance by Sharmans from Jeju and multiple talks on Haenyeo Culture throughout the exhibition’s running.
