MA Asia Pacific Studies Tuition Fee Waiver Scholarship

University of Central Lancashire

The Institute for the Study of the Asia Pacific (ISAP) at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is offering an MA scholarship in MA Asia Pacific Studies for 2021/22 academic year to students of any nationality. Successful applicants will be highly motivated students who display high quality critical study of the Asia Pacific in their proposal and excellent academic grades in a relevant undergraduate course.

The scholarship is for the value of 1 year of MA UK tuition fees (up to £7,100). Non-UK fee paying students will receive a partial fee waiver to the value of £7,100. Successful Part-time students will receive a waiver for their first year and partial waiver in their second year up to £7,100 in total. Successful candidates will be expected to work within our institute as a research assistant for the duration of their study.

This Scholarship is funded by the Institute for the Study of the Asia Pacific, based within the School of
Humanities, Language, and Global Studies at UCLan.

 

Closing date for receipt of applications: 4 July 2021

 

Scholarship Requirements:

  • Level of Study: Postgraduate Taught
  • Year (To start study): 2021/22
  • Course Title: Master of Arts in Asia Pacific Studies

 

Your application should include:

  • A provisional proposal for your MA dissertation or optional internship placement plan (maximum of 250 words)
  • Your MA Asia Pacific Studies application number (starting with ‘G’)
  • A good undergraduate academic performance (minimum 2:1) in any subject (you will received ‘conditional’ offer if you have not graduated yet.)

 

Applications should be emailed to ISAPUCLan@uclan.ac.uk. Please include “MA APS Scholarship Application” and your full name in the Subject line of your email. Ensure you attach the confirmation receipt of your place on the MA Asia Pacific Studies Course. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of the scholarship application.

In case you have not received your BA degree results (2:1 or above) yet by 4 July 2021, you will need to submit your final grades within July 2021.
